Another nice useful feature would be to see how many times the file was actually downloaded from the link provided.  This could be shown as a part of the file status screen with all the other data.  Not sure how easy this would be to implement or if its even possible.

Yes, counting downloads would be very useful. This requires server logging, and since Enclose works with many kinds of servers and web hosts, the solution would be different for each. iDisk (MobileMe/.Mac) in particular doesn't support stats that I know of. Google Analytics can probably be used on an iDisk based site, but because it relies on Javascript, it would not work with an email download link.

If your web host provides built-in stats reports, then you can view them to check downloads online. I'll keep on the lookout for ways to better support this in Enclose.
