An early beta of DigiTunnel 1.5 VPN client is now available. We invite DigiTunnel users to try the new version. For now, this release is published only here. If you try it, please leave feedback in this topic or using the Contact link above.

Use this installer to upgrade from previous DigiTunnel versions or install fresh. See Release Notes (displayed within the installer) for details. Please disregard the blank window opened when you click the link here.

What's new in DigiTunnel 1.5b1:
  • Configuration changes to accommodate Entourage.
  • No longer switches primary network service in split-routing mode. (this can be useful to avoid interruption to services running on your Mac.)
  • Fixed PPTP expired password change on Intel Macs. (This little-known PPTP feature is supported on Windows server VPN service, at least.)
  • Fixed minor NSAutoreleasePool leaks
  • Setup Assistant is now universal binary

Mac OS X 10.5.5 on a venerable PPC based Mac.

Initial trial shows that in my split routing environment none of the traffic intended for the net I use DigiTunnel for is being routed there.  If I choose "route all traffic" it works.

My simple split-route is based on net 10.x mask 255.0.0.0, which works in DT 1.4.  My local net is 192.168 with the usual netmask for that block.

I was surprised that the installer didn't ask me to logout or restart.  I'll try that and see what changes.  I can grab the "plumber" stuff later on, too.

clvrmnky, if you have added a route in DigiTunnel for the 10.x net, try deleting that route and just enter the 255.0.0.0 subnet mask on the Routes section (next to the checkbox for "Route all traffic...."). That should be sufficient to get you to your vpn network. If that's already what you are doing, then it sounds like something is wrong, and yes a Plumber report emailed in would be helpful. Thanks!

FYI, the installer doesn't require a restart--it starts up the various components of DigiTunnel that are normally enabled when you reboot. If you need to downgrade, use the uninstaller in /Library/Application Support/DigiTunnel.

Thanks for taking a look!

A new beta release of DigiTunnel is now available. Anyone interested in evaluating this new release is invited to try it. This may be used as a 30-day evaluation, or using any DigiTunnel 1.4 serial number.

Changes from DigiTunnel 1.4.4:

  • Does not change your Mac's default route when connecting.

Use this installer to upgrade from previous DigiTunnel versions or install fresh. See Release Notes (displayed within the installer) for details. Please disregard the blank window opened when you click the link here.
